for
North Korea
North Korea is one of the most repressive countries in the world. The government denies and restricts all rights and liberties of its people, including freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and association, and freedom of religion. It prohibits all organized political opposition, independent media, and civil society. For the past 70 years, it has routinely used arbitrary arrest and punishment of crimes, torture in custody, forced labor, and executions to maintain fear and control.
The North Korean regime must cease the lies and repression against its people. Please pray for the North Koreans living under constant oppression and fear so that they may gain freedom and protection of rights.
MINISTRY PARTERS

Thevit Church is a church community committed to testifying Jesus as the Light of the world and living out the calling as disciples of Jesus.
Thevit started its North Korea redemption ministries in 2006 by participating in the North Korean Redemption Movement (Sang-Chul Kim, Lawyer). In 2007, it partnered with Missionary Min-bok Lee, a leading activist who launched hydrogen-filled balloons toward North Korea with hopes that the leaflets in the balloons would help open the eyes and ears of the N. Koreans. It also produced video content revealing the reality of the impoverished lives of North Koreans.
While praying for the salvation of North Korea in the wake of the North Korean artillery attack on Yeonpyeong Island in 2010, Thevit invited North Korean defected pastors (Yohan Ma and Kumshil Hyun) to hear their testimonies. Church members also prayed for the actions aimed at North Korean salvation.
Through the Korean Christian Council for the Settlement of North Korean Defectors, Thevit has assisted many defectors that had just come to South Korea to settle into its community. It has devoted many years to nurturing and caring for dozens of defectors by sharing the gospel and leading them to Christ.
Since, Thevit partnered long-term with a missionary based in Russia to help spread the gospel to defected laborers in Russia, with Hanaro Welfare Society (Pastor Daeyeol Yoo) to help provide settlement and scholarships, and with Cornerstone Ministries International to support the delivery of Bibles to North Korea.

"A Drop of Water" is a short film written by students of Thevit Christian School established by Thevit Church, inspired through prayer after reading about the realities of North Korea via the magazine ‘Catacomb Connection.’
We hope to spread awareness of the reality of North Korea, where people have been isolated and oppressed for more than 70 years under the regime, and to share God’s compassionate heart towards North Korea.
Please join us in prayer for the salvation of North Korea and support its ministries through donations.
-
May the day of gospel-driven reunification come soon! We pray for protection over the lives of North Koreans persecuted and oppressed by the regime.
-
Please protect the human rights of North Koreans who are taken to political prison camps just because they have the Bible! We pray for protection over our brothers and sisters in the underground church.
-
We pray that the 35,000 defectors living in South Korea would come to know God and that He would use them as a vessel for gospel-driven reunification.

Hanaro Welfare Society
Hanaro Welfare Society provides education, scholarships, and livelihood relief projects to help North Korean defectors settle into South Korean society and raise them in faith as soldiers of Christ to prepare for a reunified Korea.

Cornerstone Ministries
Cornerstone Ministries International’s vision is to mobilize the Korean church to restore the Kingdom of God from Pyongyang to Jerusalem. The meaning is twofold: physically, to evangelize the nations between the two cities; spiritually, to restore the Kingdom from the place of darkness to the City of God.
This ministry was organized to support the persecuted church in any nation, restricting the propagation of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The core ministry activity has been the delivery of Bibles to the persecuted church, particularly in North Korea and China, to encourage the believers so that they, in turn, would be strengthened to build churches and reach their communities with the Gospel.

The Christian Council of North Korea
The Christian Council of North Korea is an association of churches serving defectors whom God has called to escape the desolate wasteland of North Korea. The CCNK puts all of its efforts into raising the underground churches in North Korea, rescuing the refugees stranded in China and Southeast Asia, and preparing the defectors in South Korea for a gospel-driven reunification by bringing them to the Christian faith.
